a whole new world

I took a different direction with this one ...

I really tried to show that every dark cloud has a silver lining and that we are meant to go on .. to persist .. somehow .. someway ...
even after a catastrophic event ...


There is hope ...



Technical :

I used this sunset image mainly for the clouds .. and then painted over
New parts to blend into the scene .. [link]


The planets .. small ships .. structures extra clouds . Mountains .. were all painted ..

Lots of adjustment layers like curves .. color balance .. Levels .. were used to bring the scene together ...

Pretty tough contest but had fun doing this ..
